Courting Alliances

Courting Alliances is a competitive party game with a live-action roleplaying (LARP) element.

The game unfolds in the court of an ailing Monarch. Participants take on the role of Courtiers, each vying to gain favor and improve their reputation in the monarch’s eyes.

The Monarch themself is not present during the game, but their opinions certainly are. The Monarch’s illness has caused them to become even more mercurial in their opinions than usual. The Monarch is prone to issuing proclamations about which of their couriers’ houses are in favor and which are out... and the Monarch’s mood changes daily.

Amid this ever-shifting political landscape, the selfish Courtiers attempt to make Alliances that will raise their reputation, in the hope of ascending to the throne when the Monarch ultimately dies.
